How much should I be eating?
Most people simply eat to much every day. The size of a typical meal - especially in restaurants - has grown greatly in recent years. People don't realize they are overeating and have gotten used to a larger serving size.
- a 1/2 cup (fruit, veggies) is the size of a tennis ball
- 3 oz. of meat, fish , chicken is equal to a deck of playing cards or the palm of your hand
- 1 oz. of cheese is the size of your thumb
- 1 cup (milk, yogurt, greens) is the size of your fist
