What is inflammation?

Inflammation is when the white blood cells go to work to protect our bodies from infections, bacteria, viruses and other intruders.

Sometimes the body triggers an an inflammatory response when there are no enemies to fight. The body senses an infection in normal tissue. So while the body's intentions are good, the results can be negative.

Research has shown that inflammation is a key factor in such diseases as heart disease, stroke, diabetes and others.

We will look at some ways that you can address your pain including: diet, exercises, trigger point therapy, and supplements that may help.

What causes inflammation?

Inflammation can be due to genetics or environment. Some of the environmental factors include: diet, pollution, and other stressors on the body.

The effect of diet
